Lessons

Not sure which ski style to choose?

If you're new to cross-country skiing, we suggest trying the classic skiing technique first as it is a more natural movement that’s easier to pick up than skate ski. If your goal is to go for a casual ski through the woods, the classic technique is a great place to start.

Summer Mountain Bike Rentals

Crosscut’s summer bike fleet includes full-suspension mountain bikes for both adults and youth and e-bikes for adults. They are perfect for exploring our 24 miles of scenic trails. Group lessons and private tours available May-September.

Bikes are rented by the day and include a helmet. You'll choose a pickup time, which becomes a firm appointment. When you arrive, we'll fit your bike and helmet and walk you through a quick orientation. Our Nordic and Trails Center isn't regularly staffed in summer, so arriving outside your scheduled pickup time may make it difficult to get your bike.

Rental equipment must be returned by 5PM. Late returns are subject to a $25 late fee.

Reservations must be booked by 5PM the day before your rental. For day-of availability, call 406-586-9690 or email reservations@crosscutmt.org.
